This third lecture explores the schism and fragmentation that took place within Christianity after the Protestant Reformation. All of this fragmentation occurred because certain individuals invented their own private interpretations of Scripture with no connection to historic Christianity.

Here is the link to the sixth and final lecture in the “Six Words from Holy Scripture” lecture series.

The theme of this lecture is “Victory”, which became possible because of the incarnation, Jesus’ ministry, his death, his resurrection, and his ascension. Now that death has been defeated by the death and resurrection of the long awaited Messiah, mankind now has access to the presence of YHWH, by being baptized into the name of the Trinity, becoming part of the people of God, now “The Church” and no longer the “Israelites”.

The theme of the fifth lecture is “Freedom”. With the arrival of the incarnation, Jesus the Messiah has brought freedom for mankind, freeing them from being enslaved to sin, corruption, and death.

Here is a link to the fourth lecture in the “Six Words from Holy Scripture” lecture series. The theme of this lecture is “Semi-Freedom”. After centuries of being faithful to YHWH, being unfaithful to YHWH, going into slavery, winning some battles and losing some battles with the nations around them. The Jews that had gone into slavery into Babylon return to their land and enjoy a time of semi-freedom, while still being under the rule of a foreign nation.

Here is a link to the third lecture in the “Six Words from Holy Scripture” lecture series. The theme of this lecture is “Enslavement”. After conquering most of the pagan groups and peoples in the land of Canaan, Israel was eventually and repeatedly enslaved by the nations around them.
